Plastic

Plastic is used in almost all manufacturing sectors, including the manufacture of packaging, construction, textiles, consumer goods, transportation, electrical and electronic engineering, and industrial machinery.

Background

OSR Industries founder Ofir Remez specialized in plastic while studying Industrial Engineering and Management at Shenkar College. This learning experience provided him with a valuable theoretical background. Our first practical task in plastic manufacturing was making molds for plastic injection: an essential part of manufacturing identical items in large quantities.

Specializations

Today, we are experienced in manufacturing a wide variety of plastic products. With our technical expertise, we consult our customers when they need to choose the right products and processes according to their requirements and expectations.

There are several methods for manufacturing plastic products we use at OSR, including:

3D printing

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process, meaning that the whole manufacturing is made by adding material layer by layer. While using this process, there is no need to create a mold to produce your part; you will only need a 3D file. While many different 3D printing technologies and materials are currently available on the market, plastic is the leading material used in 3D printing.

Injection molding

This is a common method used to create plastic products with complex shapes. It involves melting plastic resin and injecting it into a mold, which is then cooled to form the final product.

Thermoforming

This method involves heating a sheet of plastic until it becomes pliable and then shaping it over a mold into the desired shape

Extrusion

In this process, a plastic resin is melted and forced through a die to create a continuous shape, such as a pipe or sheet

Thermoforming

Vacuum forming

This method is similar to thermoforming but involves using a vacuum to pull the heated plastic sheet down onto a mold
